25 Aug 09 - Verizon Wireless has started construction on a 80 foot high, 25 foot in diameter silo near Thoroughfare Gap.  The site is on John Marshall Hwy (SR 55) just west of Blantyre Rd (SR 628).  The site is called "The Plains".
